Gandhinagar railway station became the first station in the country, whose command would be entirely in the hands of women. From here, almost 50 trains pass through, 25 of them stay here. On Monday, women employees took charge of every post from station master to pointsman. A total of 32 women staffers have been appointed at the station.
Tarun Jain, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway said that General Manager TP Singh had given the idea of the whole lady station, which was executed by the Board Manager, Soumya Mathur and other Board officials.
Women employees have been given special training to work with complete self-reliance. Station Master Room and Booking Office have been streamlined. Keeping their security in mind, CCTV Which have real-time monitoring in station-based police station. Staff toilets have been refurbished and the construction of the channing room will be completed soon. Here the staff will be allotted out of turn railway quarters for this to work without any hassle. Sanitary napkin wedding machine has also been installed at the station along with NGO Aarushi.
At the station master’s post, Saroj Dhark, Geeta Devi and Angela Stella have been attached with Neelam Jatav. Usha Mathur has been appointed Chief Reservation Supervisor and Meena Sharma, Sushila Meena, Santosh Saini and Neelam Sharma as their assistant. In Pointasman, Madhu Sharma, Saroj Kanwar, Sugeni Devi and Gatman, Lalita Tanwar, Rekha and Sankra Meena have been installed. Kavita Chaturvedi has been questioned in the co-reservation clerk.
Bharti, Renu Bhavani and Manju Chauhan have been posted in Vidya Devi and Mahima Dutt, Vandana Sharma and Apurva Varnayay in the ticket booking and ticket booking department.
