Nothing brings people together like good food; and when we talk about a concept like guilt free gourmet, it’s a real dream come true.
Betty bought some batter and the batter was BETTER because it was healthy, tasty, and full of nutrients. We visited TGIH (thank god it’s healthy); a premium fitness and health kitchen that has become the reason Jaipur has been eating clean lately.
We got talking with the founders of the cafe, Aaditya Pancharya (an IT engineer) and Raunak Singhvi (an architect)- A young, dynamic duo who decided to take the byway into their passion for health and food. They came up with an entire framework to design methods of making health food more accessible and understandable for everyone.
TGIH offers an array of Italian, Mediterranean, Burmese, and pan Asian cuisine which is a more delectable alternate for people living off boiled broccoli and bland chicken breasts. The menu has been designed comprehensively keeping in mind the nutrient intake of any and every individual consuming it, with a clear calorie count mentioned for each dish.
The team has worked closely with some of the top nutritionists of the country and have even developed a guilt free cheat menu, considering the benefit of doubt which is part of human nature, because who in their right mind can say no to a burger? So these young men are making it healthy and also dropping it off at your doorstep now.
With an ever growing menu TGIH has now introduced customised meal plans that let’s you decide your intake according to your taste. So you can give Amanda Cerny and Nick Bateman a run for their money.
We asked the team if they think the people of Jaipur have been very receptive to their concept? “Yes! To a great extent…the response has been overwhelming…And for all those who aren’t cautious of their well being because they think that the pursuit of health is expensive and time consuming, they’ll get around to our food sooner or later.” When one speaks of guilt free, who can forget deserts? Hence, they have also introduced guilt free desserts in collaboration with Gauri Rawat; the Cordon bleu pastry chef and bakery artist who has concocted a wide variety of fruit popsicles, brownies and pumpkin rolls for TGIH, the likes of which will give you comfort food without adding extra pounds.
The team believes that the body doesn’t go where the mind doesn’t push it…and when it comes to a fit body 70 percent of it is food and 30 percent is gym. TGIH is an amalgamation of healthy and tasty food which does not burn a hole in your pocket yet acts as a catalyst in transforming your body. It’s finally a resolution you wouldn’t have to shatter. Indeed the best health cafe of the town!
